Intelity Releases Cenium Integrations

Intelity Cenium

The POS and PMS integrations are already being installed at several hotel properties worldwide

ORLANDO, Fla., May 16, 2013 – Intelity has released new integrations with the property management system (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) system of the Cenium Hospitality Enterprise Resource Planning solution.

The new integrations were developed to allow hotels using technologies from both Intelity and Cenium, a Microsoft Gold-Certified partner, to connect these back-end systems for seamless communication of guest data, orders and requests.

For instance, the PMS functionality integration will allow guest check-in data to be sent directly from the Cenium system to Intelity’s ICE guest service software. It will enable more custom interaction between individual guests and the ICE technology with the ability to provide a view of all room charges, permit express check-out, and even restrict access from individuals who are not checked in to the hotel.

The POS functionality integration will allow guests using the ICE software to make in-room dining orders directly from in-room devices, such as tablets and TVs, or from personal devices, such as smartphones, tablets and laptops. The order is transmitted to the Cenium system, where it is treated exactly as if it had been entered manually by hotel staff. A ticket is printed in the hotel kitchen with all of the request information and can be edited just like any other order.

Eventually, Intelity’s ICE will integrate with other Cenium management modules as well.

Jake Buckstead, Intelity senior vice president of international hospitality sales, said, “We are excited about this latest offering, which will be a true benefit for the more than 250 hotels using Cenium’s technology. This series of integrations with Cenium products is further proof of the power of Intelity’s ICE back-end engine to facilitate guest orders and requests directly to hotel staff responsible for fulfillment. It is a great tool for managing overall guest service levels throughout a hotel.”

“This partnership has been a true commitment and investment of time for both Cenium and Intelity,” said Melissa Sloan, Cenium vice president of business development. “Collectively, our companies bring years of experience in technology and innovation; we know what our customers want and how systems should deliver. We are excited to expand our relationship by working collaboratively and about the future opportunities we will leverage with this partnership.”

The integrations project was a joint effort by Intelity and Cenium developers with support from McLaren Technologies with property-level training and testing. McLaren is a partner of Intelity in the Asia-Pacific region, assisting with sales and providing professional services for hotels equipped with Intelity technology.

“Intelity is very pleased to have McLaren as a partner,” Buckstead said. “They have played a crucial role in hotel projects in the Asia-Pacific region and have been instrumental in rolling out our latest Cenium integration during the first installation.”

McLaren Technologies Managing Director Matthew White said, “McLaren Technologies is leading the inaugural installation of the ICE – Cenium integration at a premier resort in Asia to allow guests the option of placing room service orders through in-room tablets and TVs, which will then automatically be posted to the guest folio. We are proud to be able to offer the convenience of ICE to hotel guests directly from their fingertips and, through powerful integrations like the latest with Cenium, streamline the various operational processes such that orders are posted automatically, eliminating the need for staff to do so manually.”
