Greetings from the land of smiles! This year, HTNG’s Asia-Pacific Conference is held at the amazing Shangri-La Bangkok! I am honored to be here with Jennifer Ranno, Senior VP of Sales from Intelity Corp.

Michael Blake, CEO of HTNG, kicked started the conference with an exciting welcome speech. The sessions kept us on edge and wanting to do more on integrating technology in the hospitality industry. From “Rethinking Guest-Facing Technology”, to the art and science of creating a captivating user experience, to Cloud Computing, the presenters gave us insights from both hotels’ operational and vendors’ technical standpoint to help us understand the real challenges and guest demands in the industry right now.

The turnout at the conference was really good and we managed to meet key IT personnel of some top hotel chains such as Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International. Jing, from the China Hospitality Technology Alliance (CHTA), was also invited to share with us the boundless opportunities that China offers. In 2015, Macau’s revenue was 7 times more than Las Vegas! The numbers are incredible and despite the global economic slowdown, China is still growing and going global.

Well after today, I’m definitely excited for tomorrow’s session!
