The next generation AG 5500 has a different form factor from the AG 5000 and includes additional memory and a faster processor. It fits in a standard 19 inch rack with supplied mounts Dimensions of (16.85" (L) x 10.04" (W) x 1.73" (H). The AG5500 also includes the availability to support the Routed Subscriber Module, previously only available on the AG5000 Metro. This module provides Layer 3 services, including limited router support, for the NSE software and is only available on the AG 5500.

The McLaren Hotspot Manager [HSM] integrates with the Nomadix Internet Gateways to enable straightforward and immediate set up of random and user selected wireless profiles. These are generated from agent terminals within the property (e.g. Business Centre, Reception or any Payment Desk). The profiles contain a User Name, secure PIN and other specific user and property defined features. Once created, the Hotel Hotspot Manager adds these profiles in real time to the Nomadix Server database through XML. The Hotel Hotspot Manager provides printable pre formatted payment slips containing full profile details.
