Hayman revealed as newest hotel ‘hotspot’ on the Great Barrier Reef

Monday 11 February, 2013 – Hayman is proving it’s not just a hot holiday spot, but a literal ‘hotspot’ on the tourism technology scene this year following the completion of a progressive internet technology installation by Asia Pacific IT solutions specialists, McLaren Technologies. Thanks to its fresh IT update, Hayman – Australia’s most awarded private island resort and a member of the prestigious organisation, The Leading Hotels of the World – now offers a menu of three different Internet access options to best suit guests’ needs.

Internet access options now include comprehensive high speed in-room connection, convenient hotspot plans, and a free limited speed facility for the benefit of all visitors.

In addition to being presented with three internet options, guests will also be presented with a portal featuring current hotel information and immediate one-click access to popular social media channels.

McLaren Technologies Managing Director Matthew White said Hayman’s new internet menu reflects the resort’s commitment to presenting a luxurious, and ‘of the moment’ tailored service and experience for its varied leisure and corporate guests’.

“In consultation with Hayman, we decided that a Nomadix-enabled network presented the best solution to create a truly ubiquitous internet and connectivity options for the island,” said Mr White.

“Nomadix’ products have dependable functionality which we felt was a prime consideration for in regards to Hayman’s idyllic yet remote Great Barrier Reef island destination. And most importantly, Nomadix functionality can also operate in both wired and WiFi networks providing maximum flexibility for the operator and the end user.”
